I read an article in the Star Tribune a couple Sunday’s ago that I thought was too good not to share.
The headline “How to handle a house bidding war” caught my eye. We have been in real estate markets before when buyers were constantly bidding against at least one other buyer. However, we haven’t seen a market like this one with so many multiple offers.
The author of the article put together what I thought was a good list of tips from the experts which I thought was worth sharing.
Do not fall in love - don’t get emotionally attached to a home
Run the numbers - don’t be tempted to offer the moon
Be realistic - sellers hold most of the leverage
Have an agent in your corner - a strong agent will have relationships to use to guide you
